Haptoglobin (Hp) is a blood plasma protein that forms high affinity complexes with free haemoglobin that is released from erythrocytes. In haemolytic anaemia, haptoglobin levels decrease as high levels of haemoglobin are released from the lysed erythrocytes.
Purified protein from human plasma - lyophilised
Reconstitute with sterile PBS (0.15M NaCl). Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.

Store at -70oC. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein.
