    • FGF 4 (fibroblast growth factor 4) is a member of the heparin-binding growth factors family which act as promoters of cellular differentiation and proliferation, and therefore play key roles in embryonic development, morphogenesis, tissue regeneration and tumour growth and invasion. Studies have shown that FGF 4 signals through binding to the FGF Receptors (FGFRs) 1c, 2c, 3c, and 4.
    • Intended Use
    • Target Species
      Human
    • Product Form
      Purified recombinant protein - lyophilised
    • Reconstitution
      Reconstitute with 250ul distilled water
Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.
    • Preparation
Purified recombinant FGF 4 expressed in E.coli
    • Preservative Stabilisers
      None present
    • Activity
      The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF-receptors is ≤ 0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of ≥ 2 x 106 units/mg.
    • Purity
      >95% by SDS PAGE and HPLC analysis
    • Approx. Protein Concentrations
      0.1mg/ml
    • Molecular Weight
      19.7kD (182 amino acid residues)

    • Buffer Solution
    • Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at +4oC.
      After reconstitution store at -20oC.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
    • Shelf Life
3 months from date of reconstitution.
