HeLa lysate probed with Human anti Human DJ-1 (HCA149) followed by Mouse anti Strep-tag:HRP (MCA2489P). (NB Controls confirm that the higher molecular weight bands are due to secondary antibody binding alone)

    • Human anti Human DJ-1 antibody, clone 13037 recognizes human DJ-1, also known widely as PARK7, a nuclear and cytoplasmic protein of approximately 21kDa belonging to the C56 peptidase family.

DJ-1 plays roles in transcriptional regulation and reaction to anti-oxidative stress. Research indicates that DJ-1 is responsible for protecting neurones against oxidative stress and cell death. De-regulation of DJ-1 oxidation appears to be connected to the onset of conditions such as Parkinson's Disease.

Research also suggests that the oxidation status of DJ-1, particularly at C106, modulates the function of DJ-1, Bio-Rad have also introduced an antibody that specifically recognizes DJ-1 when oxidized at C106 (product code HCA024).

    • Product Form
A bivalent human recombinant Fab selected from the HuCAL® phage display library, expressed in E. coli. This Fab fragment is bivalent by dimerization of the bacterial alkaline phosphatase fusion protein. The antibody is tagged with V5 and a double extended Strep-tag at the C-terminus of the antibody heavy chain. This antibody is supplied lyophilised.
