Purified protein from human placenta - lyophilised
Use 0.1 M acetic acid, pH 3.0. The dissolved collagen retains immunogenic properties. Thermal denaturation (5 min at 100ºC) converts dissolved collagen to gelatin.
Purified by acetic acid extraction after pepsin treatment followed by serial salt precipitations and ion-exchange chromatography. Purity and retention of native helical structure was controlled by SDS-PAGE, ORD measurements and by reaction with anti-collagen type specific monoclonal antibodies.

Prior to reconstitution store at +4oC. After reconstitution store at -20oC. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
