    • Recombinant Human CD266 antigen produced in E. coli is representitive of human CD266, otherwise known as TWEAK-R, a member of the TNF family, highly expressed in the heart, placenta and kidneys, which acts as a receptor for TWEAK (TNF-like weak inducer of apoptosis), and can weakly induce apoptosis in some cell types.

CD266 is co-expressed with CD255 in several cell types, and expression is upregulated in response to particular cytokines and physical damage.
    • Intended Use
    • Target Species
      Human
    • Product Form
      Purified recombinant protein - lyophilised
    • Reconstitution
      Reconstitute with 250ul distilled water
Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.
    • Preparation
Purified recombinant CD266 expressed in E.coli
    • Preservative Stabilisers
      None present
    • Activity
Determined by its ability to inhibit TWEAK-induced weak cell death of HT29 cells, with an expected ED50 of 1.0-3.0 µg/ml.
    • Purity
      >98% by SDS PAGE and HPLC analysis
    • Approx. Protein Concentrations
      0.1mg/ml after reconstitution
    • Molecular Weight
      5.6kD (53 amino acid residues)

    • Preparing The Antibody
    • Endotoxin Level
      <1EU/ug
    • Test Principle
    • Buffer Solution
      Phosphate buffered saline
    • Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at +4oC.
      After reconstitution store at -20oC.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
    • Shelf Life
3 months from date of reconstitution.
