    • Mouse anti Human CD130 antibody, clone B-R3 recognizes soluble and membrane bound gp130 receptor, also known as CD130, Interleukin-6 receptor subunit beta, Oncostatin-M receptor subunit alpha or Interleukin-6 signal transducer. CD130 is a 918 amino acid, ~130 kDa single pass type-1 transmembrane glycoprotein containing a single Ig-like C2 type and multiple fibronectin type-III domains. CD130 can be cleaved to form a monomeric soluble ~100 kDa form of the receptor detectable in plasma and other biologic fluids where it acts as an IL-6 antagonist (Müller-Newen et al. 1998).CD130 forms part of multiple cell surface receptor complexes for cytokines including IL-6, LIF, OSM and IL-11.
