| Rabbit anti Human beta amyloid antibody recognizes the beta amyloid (1-42) peptide, the main constituent of amyloid plaques in the brains of Alzheimer's disease patients. Similar plaques appear in some variants of Lewy body dementia and in inclusion body myositis, a muscle disease (Benveniste et al. 2015). Beta amyloid also forms aggregates coating cerebral blood vessels in cerebral amyloid angiopathy (Kirshner et al. 2015). Rabbit anti Human beta amyloid antibody (AHP677) may be used in immunohistochemical staining of Alzheimer's disease plaques. |

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
