Rabbit anti Human ATG1 antibody recognises Human Serine/threonine-protein kinase ULK1, also known as Autophagy-related protein 1 homolog, ATG1 or Unc-51-like kinase 1. ATG1 is a 1050 amino acid ~115 kDa, ubiquitously expressed cytoplasmic protein belonging to the serine/threonine protein kinase family.
ATG1 is an autophagy related protein which is required for the formation of autophagosomes. ATG1 is the the target of the TOR kinase signalling pathway regulating autophagy and forms a complex with ATG13 and RB1CC1.
ATG1 is strongly expressed in a wide range of adult tissues including heart, lung, kidney, brain, liver, pancreatic tissue and skeletal muscle.
N.B. Antibody reactivity and working conditions may vary between species.
Purified IgG - liquid
Antiserum to human ULK1 were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.

Total protein concentration 0.5mg/ml
Reagents In The Kit
Preparing The Antibody
Phosphate buffered saline
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
This product has been reported to work in the following applications. This information is derived from testing within our laboratories, peer-reviewed publications or personal communications from the originators. Please refer to references indicated for further information. For general protocol recommendations, please visit the antibody protocols page.
Immunohistology - Paraffin
Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
This product does not require protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections e.g. trypsin or pronase. This product does not require antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.
