    • Mouse anti Bovine mivrotubule associated proteein tau antibody, clone 4F1 ecognizes bovine microtubule associated protein tau.Tau proteins stabilize microtubules by interacting with tubulin, they are abundant in neurons in the central nervous system and are less common elsewhere. When tau proteins are defective and no longer stabilize microtubules properly, this can result in dementias, such as Alzheimer's disease (Kosik et al. 1986).

      Mouse anti Bovine mivrotubule associated proteein tau antibody, clone 4F1 reacts with tau in both the phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated form. It does not react with other microtubule associated proteins or tubulin.

      Mouse anti Bovine mivrotubule associated proteein tau antibody, clone 4F1 recognises an epitope between amino acids 95 - 108 of bovine Tau.
