Enhanced proliferation of thymocytes can be induced by co-stimulation with sub-optimal levels of phytohaemagglutinin (PHA) and IL-2. PAP005 can be used in a functional assay to measure IL-2 induced proliferation of chicken T cells, using a neutralising IL-2 monoclonal antibody. Bio-Rad recommend the use of MCA1943Z for this purpose.
PAP005 also cross-reacts with turkey IL-2 in functional assays, but not mammalian IL-2.
Maximum activity: dilution 1:50 - 1:100 1/2 maximum activity: dilution 1:250 - 1:500 Minimum activity: dilution 1:1000 - 1:2500 as determined by IL-2 bioassay.
