    • Sheep anti Buprenorphine antibody (AHP1905) recognizes Buprenorphine, a semi-synthetic opiate first marketed as an analgesic. It is prescribed for the treatment of moderate to severe pain or for anaesthetic induction. It is available in transdermal patches for long-term treatment of pain not responding to non-opioids. It is also used in opioid dependence treatment as withdrawal symptoms are milder than those of methadone.

Sheep anti Buprenorphine antibody (AHP1905) cross-reacts only very weakly (<1.2% in all cases) with morphine, morphine-3-glucuronide, 6-monoacetylmorphine, codeine, oxycodone, noroxycodone, hydromorphone, hydrocodone, dihydrocodone and thebaine.
